We were particularly interested to read Frost and Sullivan’s top seven predictions for digital media in Australian in 2013, which included a growth in online video advertising, the popularity of social media and the increase in the use of smart phones and tablets.

Frost and Sullivan’ senior research manager, Phil Harpur, who wrote the analyst firm’s predictions, thought this was so important that he included it twice!
1. Online video advertising market with grow rapidly in Australia; and
2. Online video will take significant market share from the traditional broadcasting market.
With smartphones and tablet use on the rise, Harpur predicts that the acceptance of mobile channels to watch online videos will also rise.
Put this together with the fact that YouTube is the second most popular search engine after Google and it makes sense to include video content on your website.
Videos are a great way to improve your visibility online and provide fresh web content. Putting your optimised video on YouTube increases your exposure and improves your search engine rankings.
